Health Coaching is a fairly new field in the fitness and health industry in South Africa.

It is however a well-established field in the USA where it has shown great success in guiding clients to make lasting weight-related behavioural changes.

Whether you are obese or if you just want to make a lifestyle change, you could benefit from health coaching if you are struggling to implement behavioural change in regards to your health and weight management.
Health coaching is done in an one-on-one setting either in person, per telephone or per Skype/email or Whatsapp.

The health coach forms a collaborative effort with other healthcare professionals and will refer when it is deemed necessary.

The health coach is a professional and do not judge her clients but views each person as a whole person that could benefit from support and assistance in building their self-esteem and living a healthier lifestyles.

The relationship between health coach and client is a partnership where the health coach facilitates the process of health and lifestyle changes.
The health coach focuses on enhancing, preserving and maintaining health and preventing illness.

Health coaching cannot be seen as medical advice and a medical doctor should always be consulted before starting a new training program.
